Consider Your Out of Town Wedding Guests with These Tips

If you are planning your wedding anywhere that’s not your hometown or the city you live in at the moment, chances are you’ll have quite a lot of out of town guests. How to make their experience as pleasant as possible? We have some tips for you – so read on and find out more.

• Offer them a big, warm welcome – and, yes, that includes a welcome bag as well. You don’t have to break the bank on this one if you don’t have the budget for it – but a nice bag or basket with local products will definitely put a smile on your guests’ faces.
• Provide out of town guests with a list of hotels and places to stay at. If they agree to it, you can even make a mass booking in their name, so that everyone is accommodated at the same hotel. They will more than appreciate your gesture of taking this task off their shoulders!
• Make sure you offer them transportation support. If you can, do hire a shuttle bus to get your guests to and from the airport, as well as to and from the hotel on the wedding day – it will make such a huge difference for them! If you cannot afford doing this, be sure to offer them all the support there is – from a map of the public transportation to taxi phone numbers and a map of the city.
• Play the city guide role. We’re more than certain there are a lot of marvelous spots your out of town guests can visit before and after attending your wedding – so why not provide them with a list of attractions and how they can get there? Make your wedding weekend feel like a vacation to these amazing people who’ve taken their time (and spent money!) to come and be by your side on the Big Day!
