03 Jan All Engaged and Newlywed Couples Should Make These New Year’s Resolutions
Getting married is huge – it isn’t about the big party only, and it most certainly isn’t about any kind of trends. It’s about choosing to spend the rest of your lives together. Vowing to love and respect each other. Cherishing each other and helping each other be happy.
As you head into the new year, you surely have a bunch of resolutions on your list. If you’re freshly engaged or newlywed, don’t forget to add some of the following ones as well:
- More time. Give each other your time – it’s the most precious gift you can make, really. It doesn’t have to be about expensive dinners or luxurious trips to Europe. It can be about cooking dinner together, watching your favorite TV show, or simply talking to each other about your day at work. Make room for each other into every day – and make sure wedding planning doesn’t become your sole topic of discussion either!
- More communication. As you may already know, communication is absolutely essential for your happiness as a couple. Talk to each other about everything – whether it’s something that bothers you at work, or something you really want to incorporate into the Big Day, you should definitely share it with this amazing person who is (about to be) sharing their lives with yours.
- More “I Love You”. It’s just three words, but they mean the world for your (future) spouse. Don’t let a day go by without reminding them how amazing they are, how happy you are that you will spend your life with them, and how much you love them!
