28 Nov Vendor in the Spotlight – Laura’s Focus Photos
Welcome! A new week here at the Oaks and a new wedding vendor for all you eager couples. Today, we’re showcasing Laura’s Focus Photos, a wedding photographer with no few accolades to her name.
Here at the Oaks, our goal each week is to seek out the best and most convenient ways for you to go about planning your wedding. Photographs are a staple part of a wedding-or any celebration, for that matter-and that just makes what Laura does all the more important.
- Laura, You’re Primarily a Wedding Photographer, Aren’t You?
Yes, keyword being ‘primarily’, because that’s not all I do. I offer newborn sessions and family photographs too. I wouldn’t call myself a jack of all trades, precisely, but I do touch a little bit of everything.
People that know me will tell you I’m a photographer as well as a storyteller and an artist. My customers will tell you I’m a very competent coordinator too, and I’ll tell you right now that I’m a proud romantic! Take your pick.
- And You Run Your Business from Where?
I’m from the St. Michaels/Easton area on the eastern shore of Maryland. That’s actually where I grew up, but of course, that doesn’t mean I’m not available to go anywhere else. If you’re looking for a photographer to cater to wedding and portrait shoots in Virginia, DC, Delaware, Pennsylvania and other places, ready and waiting.
- When Did you Start Your Business? And Tell Our Readers About Your Awards.
Oh, I always love talking about this part! My career has been a great one, spanning over 15 years thus far. In those years, I’ve documented over 300 weddings and portrait sessions, and that’s an accomplishment I’m most proud of.
My work has also been featured in some of the most popular and amazing magazines to grace magazine racks: The Knot, Southern Weddings, What’s Up? Weddings, Baltimore Bride, Premier Bride, and Virginia Bride. That’s not all, because prominent blog sites like Wedding Chicks, Washington Bride & Groom, Something Turquoise, Bayside Bride, Coastal Bride, Charm City Wed, My Eastern Shore Wedding and Carats & Cake have also written about me too.
If anything, this all goes to show that I’m more than capable at what I do, don’t you agree?
We do, and our readers probably do, too. Thank you, Laura. It’s always a pleasure having you here. And to our readers, simply log on to laurasfocus.com and you’ll see exactly why Laura’s Focus Photos will be a great addition to your wedding plans.
